Patti Duncan, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Women's Studies, and teaches courses on
Asian and Asian Pacific American women and global feminist issues. She received her B.A.from Vassar, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from Emory University's Institute for Women's
Studies. She has published numerous articles in journals and anthologies, and is the
author of Tell This Silence: Asian American Women and Politics of Speech (University of Iowa Press, 2004), which was selected as an Academic Choice Title in 2005. Her current research focuses on women's resistance to militarism in Asia, transnational feminist responses to gendered forms of violence, and human rights violations in South Korea, Vietnam, and Cambodia. She was the associate producer for "Bombhunters," a documentary film about the legacy of war in Cambodia, and is currently working on a new film, "About Face."
